Buffy Between the Lines Mentioned in iProng Magazine!

“True, I love Lost, and cut my audio production “teeth” at Nathan P. Butler’s “Star Wars Fanworks” community, but then I bumped into Tabitha Smith’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” Fan Audio, and J.R. BeNight’s fantastic internet Soap Opera “Eye of the Storm,” and then I had an epiphany. I realized that telling stories audibly could be just as engaging as presenting them as a movie.”

Austin at Sundance!

Here’s a quick note from Austin, who does the original music during the episodes of Buffy Between the Lines:

Hey gang,

I’m quite thrilled to say that the film I scored last October, CAPTAIN ABU RAED, won this year’s Audience Choice Award at the Sundance festival. The film is currently in talks for worldwide distribution with major distributors.

The score was recorded w/ the Hollywood Studio Symphony and our friend Dan Goldwasser at ScoringSessions.com took these kick ass photos:

Just on a high and wanted to share it!

Hope this finds everyone well,

cheers,
-Austin

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

As a special website ONLY treat, we’ve dug up this AU, completely crack-filled “Ripper’s Holiday Thoughts”. Again, it’s not to be taken seriously at all and if you’re easily offended, you may not want to listen. Think of an alternate reality in which Rupert never grew out of his “Ripper” phase.

Austin Wintory – scoring a movie

Posted by Tabz On November - 19 - 2007 ADD COMMENTS

If you’ve enjoyed the original music we’ve had on the show you know we owe it all to Austin Wintory – who is amazing. Recently, Austin was asked to score a movie. This is video of the recording session of Austin Wintory’s orchestral score to Amin Matalqa’s Jordanian feature film, Captain Abu Raed. Score was recorded on October 27th and 29th, 2007 at Warner Bros. Studios with the Hollywood Studio Symphony. This is the storytelling cue. Video shot and edited by Ray Peschke.

Delay Due to Fox…

Posted by Tabz On October - 19 - 2007 ADD COMMENTS

Due to the current situation with Fox our servers have decided to go on strike until the Buffy Musical is brought back. So maybe you should sign the petition to help this process?

Until we can explain to them the evils of Fox and how it’ll always be evil – you might have to wait a bit for Episode 002.

Sorry folks! While you’re waiting, why don’t you join the Serenity 2 Sending a Wave campaign?

(okay, so it’s not really Fox, but we thought it was funny)
